Stephanie Birkitt has landed herself a spot in the headlines today. Why, you ask? Well, she has knocked boots with David Letterman. As a former assistant (and lover) of the talk show host and comedian, Birkitt is said to have had a sexual relationship with Letterman that ended before 2003, before (of course) David had his son Harry.
TMZ is reporting that the former assistant made several appearances on the Late Show and lived with the man who is being accused of blackmailing Letterman. Robert (Joe) Halderman, the blackmailer, is said to be in possession of Birkitt’s diary, photos and correspondence that could reveal a lot about the relationship she had with Letterman. Oooooo, juicy, juicy! However, I’m not so sure I am wanting to know anything about David’s bump and grinding skills or lack-thereof.
Sources tell RadarOnline.com that “Birkitt and Letterman slept together for a period of time before he married his girlfriend Regina had their son Harry” and that Birkitt is reportedly “mortified Halderman is using her fling with Letterman to blackmail her boss.”
I’m thinking in the next couple weeks to come, little details will be trickling out and I’m going to be sick…unless there is some serious ching dished out to stop all this madness.

Letterman is fine; he never was the “Family Values” type. Yes, he probably cheated on his girlfriend now wife. But at least he does go around claiming he is Mr. “Family Values” like some of our politicians (can you just see the grin on all “Fake News” reporters/commentators). This has been a tough summer, for Dave, for our economy but at least he did not end up on the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC).
