While the Natural Born Killers Original Uncut version remake movie may have not captured my attention due to the casting of the film (Juliette Lewis…boo), the message is what makes the film appealing.

While notable director Oliver Stone tackled this project with ferocity, it is an especially disturbing film if you can’t handle potty mouths and extreme violence. What should be stressed is that Stone’s message was not to just entertain, but to offend.

Because of today’s culture and the fascination with violence and celebrity, we get an honest yet deep portrayal of how killers capture the public.

In my opinion, Stone delivers a very effective, provocative and electrifying movie-watching experience. Not only does the movie go by fast, but believe me when I say…it is intense and eerily nightmarish…a pee in your pants excursion.

Movie critic Roger Ebert says about the flick, “Natural Born Killers is a masterpiece…seeing this movie once is not enough.”

“Fourteen years ago, Oliver Stone shocked the world with Natural Born Killers, a disturbing hallucinogenic ride through the minds and exploits of two cold-blooded lovers who killed for sport, love and attention.

Prior to the theatrical release, Stone reworked the film, made more than 150 cuts, and removed approximately four minutes in order to get an R rating. Still, when the film opened in August, 1994. The New Yorker’s Stephen Schiff called it “the most radical film any studio has released since A Clockwork Orange.”

After viewing Natural Born Killers Original Uncut Version I give the movie 3 out of 5 stars.
