Adele is a chart-topping queen, beating out Whitney Houston’s album chart record (US) by becoming the very FIRST female artist to stay at number one for 21 weeks! And ironically she did it with her album titled “21″.
It was yesterday that the results came in citing Adele as breaking Houston’s record for The Bodyguard soundtrack just 11 days after Whitney passed away in a Los Angeles hotel suite on the eve of the Grammy Awards. And we all know that the Grammy awards was quite successful for Adele as she received SIX gold statues including the big one for Album of the Year.
In addition to the big Grammys Adele had THREE of her singles land in the top 10 all in the same week. Um, talk about music industry domination.
It just may be a tad difficult for the British singer to top this album. Don’t ya think?
Speaking of chart toppers, Katy Perry is also back at the top of the pop charts after becoming the 20th artist to debut at number one AND her song “Part of Me” is her seventh number one hit.
