Adele’s Throat Surgery a Success

We all know that Adele has been having issues with sickness. What we didn’t know was that she was forced to cancel a ton of tour dates and appearances due to a vocal cord hemorrhage that basically could have ruined her voice and her singing career. So the drastic situation led to drastic measures. Adele traveled to Boston, Massachusetts for an operation that is supposed to stop recurrent bleeding and prevent a possible rupture from a benign polyp.

From what we know, the singer

IS expected to make a full recovery.

The hospital, on Adele’s behalf, released the following statement, “Based on the advice of her doctor and voice therapist in the United Kingdom, Adele came to Boston to consult and undergo corrective voice surgery with Dr Zeitels, the Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center. Dr Zeitels has pioneered many vocal cord surgical procedures including the use of specialised lasers to stop vocal cord bleeding in singers.”

As a result, Adele is going to need a long time to recover. Adele’s management released the following: “It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011. She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat — and a full recovery is expected. Doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments.”

Well we need her to get well so all of you complaining about the canceled shows, simma down nah.

Rest and get well, Adele!

  1. Glad to hear that she is okay. After all the obstacle she has phase. It is truly a blessing to have known that she is all better now and after a couple of days maybe after the recovery, She will be back on the stage once more.
