After nine years of marriage, two of America’s funniest people are calling it quits.
No, I am not referring to Mitt and Ann Romney. I meant funny people that are funny on purpose.
Comedienne Amy Poehler, the star of NBC’s Parks and Recreation and Will Arnett, star of NBC’s Up All Night, officially announced their decision, according to People magazine. This was the second marriage for Will Arnett, who was previously married to actress Penelope Ann Miller. This was the first marriage for Amy Poehler.
In an interesting twist, both of the comedians are nominated this year for Emmy awards. Poehler has been nominated as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for Parks and Recreation. Arnett has been nominated for a guest-starring role on 30 Rock.
Let’s hope that NBC employs these two for the foreseeable future, as they have two small sons to feed.
