Talk about surprise! Avril Lavigne is headed down the aisle! The singer’s rep confirmed that she is engaged to Nickelback’s own Chad Kroeger.
The couple, both hailing from Canada, have done a great job of keeping their relationship under wraps. The only innocent mention of a relationship is Avril’s tweet about their collaboration on her upcoming album back in February. “Bro’ing out with Chad Kroeger in the studio,” she tweeted, showing her and Chad in a cute lovable moment.
“Things just clicked real quick. We were just gonna [collaborate on a] couple of tunes,” Chad said in an interview K104.7 in April. “And then she wanted me to sing on one of them and then we just started flying on all these different songs.” And apparently got really close!=
This will be Chad’s first marriage and Avril’s second. She filed for divorce from Sum 41′s Deryck Whibley (she’s certainly got a thing for her fellow rockers, huh?) in October 2009 after three years of marriage. In January, Avril broke up with former Hills star Brody Jenner after almost two years of dating.
