It’s the most awkward news I’ve heard in awhile but apparently Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are so much in love that they got themselves engaged after just a few months of dating.
Lavigne’s rep confirmed the news to People magazine, basically letting us all know that we aren’t getting punk’d. A source explained that ”A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together” and another source added that, “He makes her so happy. Both of their families could not be more excited.”
And now we are finally getting the lowdown from Avril and Chad via their native Hello Canada magazine.
Of Chad, Avril told the magazine, “He makes me laugh every day. He takes care of me in every way and is extremely attentive.”
Kroeger says of Lavigne, “I knew I was falling for her. It was incredibly powerful and something I’ll never forget. I feel like the luckiest person alive.”
In other words, this is FORREAL forreal.
And if a FOURTEEN carat diamond engagement ring means anything serious, Chad is DAMN serious to one day call Avril his wife.
