I had heard rumors that Billie Joe Armstrong’s iHeart Festival performance led to a big fat rant after being told he had one minute to get off the got damn stage. Well I am sorry but you sure as hell do NOT tell Green Day to get off the stage…like…ever.
According to Entertainment Weekly, while performing in Vegas at the iHeartRadio Festival on Friday night, Armstrong felt like he was being cut short after a sign read that the guys had ONE MINUTE to wrap up their set.
Let’s just say Billie Joe wasn’t having that, especially after Usher went over his time allotment.
Billie Joe freaked the eff out yelling, “You’re gonna give me one minute?! I’ve been around since f–ing nineteen eighty f–king eight, and you’re gonna give me one minute?! You’ve gotta be f–ing kidding me!”
He went on to add, “I’m not f–ing Justin Bieber, you motherf–ers! Let me show you what one f–ing minute f–ing means.”
That’s when he decided to smash his guitar to the ground, flip the bird and stormed off the stage.
