Mariah Gets “Festive” On Grammy Nominations Show.
I hate the Grammys. I am in love with music, but I hate the Grammys. I realize that “hate” is a strong word, but I strongly feel that the old fogies on the Grammy nomination selection board are deaf, blind, and biased. It is evident that these geriatrics do not pay any attention to the year’s events, successes and disappointments in the year of music.
Every year I am livid with the nominee selections and you will more than likely hear me bitch and moan again about this the same time next year. Instead of the traditional morning press conference where some washed up greasy rock band stands behind a microphone to announce the Grammy nominees, this year the Grammy coordinators thought by picking big name artists to host and perform on a stage would make for a unique way to introduce this year’s nominees.
Yeah, that’s all fine and dandy…but it was almost a slap in the face for those who performed, hosted, or introduced the nominees CONSIDERING these particular individuals had a bigger year musically than those nominated.
Anyartistwhogotshafted, my beotch MC opened the show festively with the Christmas classic, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). I loved the stage design and the outfits. So cute. Check out the performance below.
