As if Morgan Freeman doesn’t have ENOUGH to worry about…
Just days after getting into an accident, Morgan Freeman and his wife of 24 years are throwing in the towel. According to his business partner Bill Luckett, the couple have been separated since December 2007 ‘for legal and practical purposes’, so it doesn’t come as a huge surprise that DIVORCE was inevitable. But, WHY NOW right after a near-fatal crash?
Hmmm…I’m wondering if his female passenger Demaris Meyer had anything to do with this split? Meyer is said to be a “good” friend of Freeman. If we refer to being a “good” friend in a Chris Brown-Rihanna sense, we KNOW what this means! There’s some freaky-deaky-ness going on that we DON’T want to know about. Morgan Freeman is like Hollywood’s grandpa! Nothing like geriatric sexy time implanted in one’s mind.
Update on Morgan Freeman: based on information released by his publicist Donna Lee.
Morgan Freeman is doing well after surgery to reconnect nerves and repair damage to his left arm and hand following a car wreck Sunday night, his publicist said.
The surgery Monday night “lasted approximately four and a half hours including recovery and he is in good spirits and was visiting family members this morning,” Donna Lee, Freeman’s publicist, said in a statement Tuesday.
“He was walking this (morning), and is looking forward to his release as soon as possible,” Lee said.
Good to hear that he is gonna live! Get better soon Morgan.
First Christina Applegate is diagnosed with cancer and now Morgan Freeman gets into a serious car crash? My gawd, when it rains it pours in Hollywood-land.
Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Ben Williams said Freeman was driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima belonging to Demaris Meyer of Memphis when the car left a rural highway and flipped several times shortly before midnight Sunday.
Emergency crews pulled Freeman and his passenger Demaris Meyer from the car and airlifted them to the Regional Medical Centre in Memphis more than 100 miles from the scene of the crash.

According to a source, Brit hit a red Ford Explorer, driven by a lady. There were no reported injuries…thank gawd…and the star didn’t even get out of the car after it happened.
Instead her bodyguard got out and spoke to the other woman.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Jerry Seinfeld knows how to make a joke out of everything, even being in a car accident! Jerry was his driving one of his many cars on Saturday when the brakes went out forcing him to use his emergency brake to stop. Well, the car stopped alright…AFTER it rolled.
Jerry told a source, “Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do,” he said in a statement. “It is not something I plan to make a habit of.”
The funny man walked away from the accident unharmed.
