Last night was a night of high fashion, fabulousness, and surprises. The Critic’s Choice Awards was officially the season opener for awards of film. And as many of you know, to win a Critic’s Choice Award is often times an appetizer to the big Oscar protein shake and potatoes prize.

The big wigs were out in droves mingling and meshing with each other, but as expected, all eyes were on the PDA love birds Brangelina. And despite the fact that both Brad and Ange went home empty handed, the affection that went on between the rumored “married” couple was either nauseating or sweet, depending on the onlooker.

An inside witness told US Weekly that Jolie whispered to Pitt, “I miss you” even though they were sitting next to each other and even shared that at one point, Brad had his hand all the way up Angelina’s dress! Ummm, hello!!! Get a room you horny little teenage-wannabes!

The tear-jerker of the evening was the post-humus award win for Heath Ledger’s supporting role performance in “The Dark Knight”. Heath’s co-star Aaron Eckhart raved about Heath Ledger’s work in “The Dark Knight”. “I feel like Heath Ledger put in a beautiful performance, and it’s just amazing that fans and critics are recognizing that. It’s just tremendous.” And it was a fabulous performance indeed!

Anne Hathaway and her sidekick Kate Hudson attended their NYC “Bride Wars” premiere last night. And, fashionably, Miss Anne kept her look simple in a black androgynous tuxedo. Are you loving the Yves Saint Laurent Le Smoking tuxedo suit? Or should Anne have dressed it up a tad more?

Last night was the big night for Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson as they debuted their new flick “Bride Wars” in the fabulous city of New York. For those of you in the dark about the film, the two ladies play childhood friends who who fall out when their wedding dates clash. Realistic? Not so much. But, I suppose it COULD happen like being dumped in the same month by two men (I mean, it happened to Kate!).

At any rate, the two showed up to the premiere in very different ensembles. To me, it seemed planned… (Anne-looked tuxedo-fabulous, while Kate looked like she pieced together her black curtains from her living room and her white curtains in her bathroom together well) but to many others they are claiming that Anne is upset that Kate “upstaged” her fashionably. Errr…whatevs.

Both bitches looked fashionable and chic. And the movie? Well, I’m sure it’s only funny as any Kate Hudson movie can be…just this time she’s doing it without hottie McConaughey-hey.

Does anyone else feel sorry for Owen Wilson? I don’t know why, but I just feel for the guy. I could just give him a great big hug and tell him it is going to be okay. If I knew his address, I’d send him a fruit basket. Okay, so maybe I wouldn’t, but he’s on my pity list. Maybe he should start wearing Spandex? Certainly couldn’t hurt, could it?

I really do adore Kate Hudson, but geez, she is certainly not wasting any time at all with this whole man situation. To go break a guy’s heart twice…geez.

After a spicy hot weekend with Lance Armstrong in Cannes, Kate Hudson returns to work on her new film Bride Wars.
