Jewel is going to be adding a little more twang to her voice. Jewel plans to tour with country superstar Brad Paisley in hopes that she will gain acceptance into the country genre.

Jewel told a source, “I think my fans are going to like Brad because he’s a songwriter and a musician; my fans like the real deal,” Jewel said. “And I think his fans are going to like me. I think it’s a great fit, audience-wise…. I’m expecting it to be a lot of fun.”

First of all, where has Jewel been, besides “Intuition” razor ads? And, does anyone really care if Jewel pulls the ole’ switcheroo on us and heads on over to the beer drinking, my wife-cheated-on-me-and-now-I’m-going-to-take-my-pickup-truck-down to-the-local-honky-tonk-bar-and-drown-my-tears-away-in-beer side of music?
