Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Reva Goetz ordered in court today that Britney Spears will remain under her father’s care until the end of the new year.

However, 2009 may ring in the New Year in control of her own biz-nass. But that remains to be seen. Everything depends on Britney’s improvement.

On another important note, remember that Sam Lufti freak? Yeah, he’s STILL forbidden to have ANY contact with Britney, per Britney’s request.

THAT is double good-ness for Brit Brit in ONE week. Baby steps, girl. Baby steps…

Britney Spears is ready to partay! After closing her custody case with her ex-hubby K-Fed, Britney jetted off to Mexico to celebrate one less burden lifted off her shoulders. No screaming kids to worry about…no ex-hubby to face…just a quiet peaceful weekend with pals and her babysitter, Papa Jamie.

What’s up with the video camera, girlfriend? Just taping some beautiful memories or do we have another “Chaotic” on our hands?

Remember when Britney went to visit Jamie Lynn and her new baby, but left significantly earlier than planned? Brit Brit was then later photographed at the airport in tears. (See above photo). Wah-freakin’-Wahhh.

According to a source, June 21st at approximately 9.30pm, Jamie found his daughter naked on the bathroom floor, crying hysterically and mumbling to herself about wanting a baby girl. Jamie rang the doctor, who rushed to Britney’s side and diagnosed a breakdown.

A source says: ‘Seeing her little sister give birth was too much for Britney. It made her realize what a mess she’s in. She’s insanely jealous of Jamie Lynn having a girl because she’s always been desperate for a daughter.

Jamie found her sobbing her heart out and repeating: “It’s not fair, Dad, it’s not fair.”

Since then Britney is rumored to have had her medication dosage increased. It is such a shame that Britney couldn’t be happy for her sister. Instead, she felt sorry for herself for NOT bearing a daughter of her own.

So freakin’ sad.

Britney Spears has made tremendous improvement over the past couple months. Not only is she slowing earning more time with her boys, but she is back on her meds and acting like a normal human being. Hurray for that! However…a big fat HOWEVER…

It has been reported by TMZ.com that Britney is secretly having visits by Adnan Ghalib, the dirt bag paparazzo.

Two steps forward….four steps back for the ole’ Britster if this is true.

I thought her dad was living with her? He’s getting paid $2500 a week to babysit her butt…where is he when all of this is going on?

The Britster spent her Father’s Day weekend partying at the Cinevegas party at Palms Palace. Don’t WORRY! Papa Jamie was about 2 feet away from her and made sure she drank water. Britney was on her best behavior and seemed to be looking a lot healthier. And, of course, Britney seemed to be the big topic of the event with gawkers galore.

Rumor has it that Britney was supposed to be in London this weekend, but girlfriend had a panic attack when she found out it was Friday the 13th and REFUSED to board her flight.

She may be on the right track to getting better, but according to the court Britney is not yet ready to handle things on her own yet. And, rightfully so!

According to a source, Samuel Ingham, Spears’ court-appointed attorney, and attorneys for the pop star’s father and conservator, James Spears, spent 90 minutes in Commissioner Reva Goetz’ chambers Thursday.

Ingham told the court afterward that Spears’ medical condition is “fluid” because her treatment is changing.

Spears’ probate case is scheduled to go to trial July 31, but Ingham said it could be “harmful” for her to participate. Goetz agreed and said Spears’ diagnosis is not complete.

Since her appearance on “How I Met Your Mother”, the job offers have been pouring in. Britney could potentially star in her own television show or even have her shot on Broadway.

So, what will Britney’s next move be? Well, let’s just hope those meds are figured out first before she dives into anything.

He’s in the business. He’s a famous movie star. Been there, done that. He’s been in trouble with alcohol and the law. So, what better person to reach out to Britney than good ole’ Mel Gibson? I think the Britster may have met her match and elder who can really understand her.  They must have hit it off really well because now Mel and his wife have invited Brit and her papa Jamie out to their Costa Rican home.

A source says, “Mel and his wife Robyn clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible. There are no expectations, there is no agenda. It’s simply an act of human kindness - one neighbor reaching out to the other.”

And, just maybe THIS is finally what Britney needs…some R & R AWAY from the cameras. Maybe Mel is looking to help Britney build a private getaway home next to him in Costa Rica!

There were no fans outside showing support. The paparazzi failed to chase her. No Starbucks in hand. No Cheetos-stained fingers.  And, a nicely placed weave?  Hmmph.  Are the insane Britney days over?

Britney showed up to her custody hearing ON TIME, dressed very conservatively and looking healthy. Who ever thought this day would come?

In the court room, the judge was quite pleased with the progression that Britney has made over the past couple months.  He reportedly made some changes to the custodial orders, granting the Britster extra time with her boys. Hallelujah. That’s awesome news for little Sean Preston and Jayden.  According to a source, Brit will be allowed 3 supervised visits per week.  That is a lot more than what she had been getting!
