Bobby Brown Releases Statement on Whitney’s Death

For the first time since Whitney Houston’s death, Whitney’s ex-husband Mr. Crackie Cracken himself Bobby Brown is speaking out.

In an official statement released to PEOPLE magazine Brown said, “I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time.”

Last night, Brown was set to perform in Memphis when he heard of the news of his ex-wife’s passing and even though he got word of the tragedy, the show went on. So was this an act of professionalism or selfishness on Bobby’s part? Hmmmm.

Check out the video of Bobby taking the stage to introduce himself and to acknowledge Whitney’s passing. To me it seemed as if he was still in shock of hearing the news. If I had found out someone I loved dearly for years had passed, I do not think I would be able to stand let alone sing on stage. Man, what a sad ordeal all around.
