Buried debuts new movie poster
The upcoming film, Buried, directed by Rodrigo Cortés and starring Ryan Reynolds is gearing up for its October 8 release with a particularly eye catching new poster. And with tag lines like ‘What Would You Do if You Were Buried?’ and ‘Paul Conroy [Reynold's character] Isn’t Ready to Die’ the film is definitely setting itself up to be a must see Halloween suspense thriller. But who am I kidding? Even if you don’t like thrillers, Ryan Reynolds may just be reason enough to see it. Does anyone remember the wood chopping scene from The Amityville Horror? I rest my case.
But enough about Ryan Reynolds- for now. Check out the poster after the jump!
I have to say, it’s pretty effective at conveying the sense of claustrophobia you might feel if you were indeed buried. I like the Hitchcock like vibe it gives off.
And if you’re wondering about the movie, here’s the synopsis:
Paul Conroy is not ready to die.
But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery, and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against time- fighting panic, despair and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued before his worst nightmare comes true.
