EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Erika Jayne

With five consecutive number ones under her belt, Erika Jayne has proven herself to be queen of Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play Chart. Her catchy lyrics, hot electro-pop beats, and steamy subject matter definitely leave you ready for the dance floor (if you’re not already there) and elsewhere…

Erika’s latest breakout single (and #1 hit), “One Hot Pleasure“, is anything but tame, but that’s okay because tame was never her intention. If you’ve seen the video or listened to the lyrics, it doesn’t take long to figure out just what “hot pleasure” she’s referring to. Essentially, it’s everything a sexy, dance track should be, and with it, Erika proves she’s every bit as talented as she is sexy.

But get ready, ya’ll… “One Hot Pleasure” is just a preview of what’s to come…

I had the fabulous opportunity to chat with Erika Jayne about “One Hot Pleasure”, among other things, and asked her about filming the video for the single and its *ahem* inspiration. Take a look and listen after the jump!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Adelitas Way’s Rick DeJesus

With their self-titled 2009 debut album, Adelitas Way broke into the mainstream with force. Then again, that’s kind of what happens when you have a single become a theme song for WWE Superstars. If you think that success went to anyone’s head, however, you’re wrong, because the band takes nothing for granted.

As they prepare for the release of their latest album, Home School Valedictorian, on June 7th the Las Vegas based Quintet are set to prove that success is just as sweet the second time around.

I recently had the chance to chat with Adelitas Way front-man, Rick DeJesus, who dishes on the new album, his inspiration, and what’s next…

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Falling Skies’ Connor Jessup

Known for his role as Simon on “The Saddle Club,” Connor Jessup has been busy- from filming the indie flick Blackbird to landing a starring role on TNT‘s upcoming sci-fi drama series “Falling Skies“, which makes its television debut June 19th. In the new series from Steven Spielberg, Connor plays actor Noah Wyle’s lost son, ‘Ben Mason.”  Set in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that’s left most of the world completely incapacitated, Connor’s character just happens to be the only family member captured by aliens… How’s that for a twist?

Both on and off-set, Connor is hard-working and determined. He may only be 16-years-old, but he’s known for quite some time that he wanted to work in film.  He is an undeniably talented actor that’s been making film since the age of eleven. Some may call him a prodigy- After all, he recently wrote, produced, directed and edited the shorts “Something” and “I Don’t Hurt Anymore”, and wrote/directed the play “Pushing Normal”, for which he won an Award of Distinction for the script at the 2010 Sears Drama Festival. Connor is also the Executive Producer of the indie film Amy George, which premiered last month at the Wisconsin International Film Festival.

Oh yea, and he’s pretty much an academic genius.

So when you have all these things going for you, what exactly makes one TV series or project stand out from another? Where do you go from here? What’s next? What sets “Falling Skies” apart from movies and series that have gone before? And the big question: Does he, or does he not, believe in Aliens?

I recently had the chance to chat with Connor about all that and more! Take a listen below and find out!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: American Idol alum Kimberley Locke

She may have finished third on season two of FOX’s American Idol (and come on that was way back in 2003), but despite not taking home the title, Kimberley Locke has proven you don’t have to win the whole contest to come out ‘winning’. Not only has she had musical success, with eight Top 20 Adult Contemporary hits, three #1 Dance hits, and eight #1’s across various Billboard charts, Locke has had a few acting (come on, you all remember Celebrity Fit Club, right?) and soon she will embark on a hosting gig of her own.

ABC chose Locke to host a new weight loss show tentatively called The Revolution, which focuses on health and lifestyle transformations. And if anyone knows the journey of body and life transformations, it’s Kimberley.

In addition to her career path talents, Locke reveals that she spends a lot of her time working with her adopted charity OneHeartland, which focuses on improving the lives of children and their families impacted by HIV/AIDS.

As for the new music? Locke is letting her fans choose her next single. I had the chance to chat with Locke about her new music, her charity work, which American Idol contestant she worked with on her new music and what she had to say about stripper pole dancing!

This is an interview you won’t want to miss!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Nilanti Narain

There is no denying that Nilanti Narain is captivating and it’s certainly no surprise that she’s been modeling since she was 15- doing commercial work for Capital One, Mark Ecko and Nissan (among others) and gracing the covers and pages of Elle, Show, Exotic, GIANT, and many more.  But don’t think for a second that beauty is all that Nilanti has going for her. Sure, her beauty is unquestionable, but so is her talent, charisma and vision.

As a first generation Fijian-Indian, Nilanti’s cultural roots contribute to both her beauty and her passion- and from the very beginning that passion has driven her to succeed and helped her keep her dreams of becoming a singer alive. Despite her successful modeling career, Nilanti has always been waiting on the opportunity to showcase her voice- a voice that is every bit as beautiful as she is.

I recently had the chance to talk to Nilanti, and trust me when I say that she is absolutely amazing. In the interview, the exotic beauty dishes on everything- from her modeling career to her heritage, and how she incorporates her life, experiences and loves into her passion for music. Take a look and listen after the jump!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: 2010 America’s Got Talent winner Michael Grimm

America’s Got Talent (AGT) winner Michael Grimm is one of the few new artists that has been able to stay true to his roots and his musical style on his debut album, which was released with Epic Records on May 17th. After twenty years of struggling to get his voice heard, Grimm’s win on AGT is still a shock to him, with the thought of his celebrity status in question.

Perhaps we should remind him? Opinionated Piers Morgan, judge on the AGT panel, compared the voice and poise of Grimm to that of a young Van Morrison. And with the heavy hitters he worked with for his debut album creation, he’s no doubt in the game. From working with Grammy-award winning producer Don Was (Bonnie Raitt, Elton John and the Rolling Stones) to collaborating with his idol Travis Tritt and Ann Wilson from Heart, Grimm has already done what some new artists only dream of doing in the lifetime of their career.

About working with Grimm, producer Don Was explained that he was thrilled to be on board the Grimm train saying, “I became aware of Michael Grimm several years ago and jumped at the chance to work with him after he won AGT. Michael is one of the greatest vocalists I have ever had the privilege to record. He is a world class singer with a level of professionalism that is extremely rare.”

Not only that but the heart and soul of Grimm is a rarity. During the show’s airing, Grimm showed the world his humble nature and emotional heart proclaiming that if he won the AGT title and the million dollar prize he would build his grandparents (whom were displaced by Hurricane Katrina) a new home.

I had the chance to chat with Grimm about his AGT win, whether he stayed true to his word on that home for his grandparents, the creation of his album, his dirty hobby and more.

KIM KARDASHIAN

Over the past few years, Kim Kardashian has risen from Paris Hilton’s ex-side kick to a powerful business woman. Two Idols In Love?

kimcaldwell.jpg

Kimberly Caldwell may have been an Idol reject, however, girlfriend has landed herself a spot in a very special Idol’s pants, er, heart…none other than that of this year’s Idol winner David Cook.

Ok, so you KNOW Kimberly has already given David a special little present for winning Idol. Kimberly had been a fan of David Cook’s throughout the season and even declared her love for David by saying “I’m obsessed with David Cook. I want to make out with him… a lot. And probably will.” We know what Kimberly is after! She wants a ride on that American Idol motorcycle David won! That scandalous beotch!!!

And apparently, Cook isn’t being shy about his Ruth’s Chris steak house encounter with Caldwell either.

Today on “Live With Regis and Kelly” Cook did confirm that he recently had a dinner date with former “Idol” contestant Kimberly Caldwell.

Cook, 25, said he met Caldwell through the show. When asked if he had a good time, Cook replied: “I did. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”

Yep, they doinked.

Mariah Is One Tough Cookie.

mcandnick.jpg

We all are dying to know what was going through the head of Mariah Carey before she decided to ink herself as Mrs. Cannon, right? Apparently, the beotch wasn’t drunk as we would have guessed. So, what better person to get the dish from than the man who tattooed the now-attached-at-the-hip couple. Tattoo Artist Zulu speaks about Nick and Mariah’s visit to his tattoo parlor when the couple decided to make their union official.

zulu.jpeg

Mariah was really cool. She didn’t really want to talk about what was happening because I think she was calling before they got married. They said, this is very confidential, we don’t want this to get out. Tattooing so many celebrities, you have to be discreet. They let me know what they wanted and I drew it up ahead of time and they approved some drawings and when the day came, we went out to their beautiful house in Beverly Hills. We sat and talked about refining the drawings and they gave me some lunch. Mariah was really mellow, real confident, not overbearing in the least, she was polite but she knew what she wanted. She was assertive, which was cool. She decided she wanted a butterfly because she’s all about butterflies.”. It was her very first tattoo. She sat for it and didn’t flinch. She’s a tough cookie. She found me on the web, and probably through her celebrity circle. It was Nick Cannon’s first tattoo as well. He got some script on his back. It was a really good experience for everyone, especially for the first tattoo, because that tends to make people a little bit nervous. They did well, like people who had a million tattoos.

Mariah and Nick have currently taken their PDA love fest to Japan. Smooch smooch here and a smooch smooch there!  Here a smooch, there a smooch….ummm, barf.
