Meet Charice, a star that is sure to be one that will shine bright and stay bright. As corny as it sounds, it’s true, my friends. The 17-year-old YouTube sensation was just discovered in 2007, but with 13 million hits on her page, the teen singer has peeps raving. This girl may be young, pretty and petite, but once you hear her sing, you will be captivated or at least see a young talent we haven’t seen for some time now. Already a sensation in her native Philippines, Charice’s self-titled US debut CD is scheduled to be released on May 11th via 143/Reprise Records – the day after her 18th birthday! Her first single, “Pyramid” features labelmate Iyaz (who recently spent four weeks at #1 with his smash hit, “Replay”) and is already making waves on Top 40 radio.
