In a series of comedic shorts, Handler stars as Marla Schulman, the titular character, Hollywood’s preeminent film executive. Not only does she sign the checks but she also happens to be the boss from hell. In a battle of Hollywood supremacy, Harvey Weinstein could definitely learn a thing or two from Schulman.
Joined to her hip is her ambitious and newly hired assistant Kevin, ready to fulfill all the nightmarish tasks (rolling calls, muskrats and child adoption secrets) that Schulman seems to bestow onto him on an on the minute basis.
Praised for her comic timing, Handler personifies the Hollywood bigwig to comic perfection. Her natural sense for snarkiness is a wonderful tool for this savage character, unflinching to an absolute tee. Inappropriate Boss (produced by Comedy Time, a leading online comedy network) is a hilarious look at the entertainment industry and the
things we do to stay atop it.
Granted, Chelsea is more hilarious than most talk show hosts (other than Conan), and I effing love the bitch, but I kind of expected more. This just goes to show that Chels is like a fine wine. She has gotten better with age. In other words, by the time Joan Rivers keels over, Chels will be the biggest baddest bitch in La La Land.
