You thought Ciara was just a pretty face with a sultry voice? Ha, think again! Ciara also has a heart. In an effort to help out underprivileged children, Ciara is head of a new campaign that will provide school supplies to kiddies who can’t afford them. So, maybe…just maybe…little Joey won’t try to swipe your kiddies’ Spiderman backpack this year!
Ciara, DoSomething.org and Staples have joined forces to put on the second annual National Do Something 101 School Supply Drive.
Ciara says of her efforts, “The Do Something campaign is awesome because it encourages people to provide school supplies for kids. Some of the supplies are expensive and some people can’t afford them. Nowadays in this economy, education has become more important than ever. We need to do whatever it takes to empower our kids to help them to move forward and be the best that they possibly can be. That’s why I wanted to get involved.”
