There was a lot of controversy over Cindy Crawford putting her daughter into a modeling career at the ripe age of 10 and even though she gave Kaia her blessing for the Versace children’s line, Cindy seems to be retracting her support for her daughter insisting that she really is “too young” for the catwalk.
So unfortunately for Kaia who was probably all psyched up to do what her mommy did for years will have to wait a few more years. Crawford said, “At this point, she’s too young to pursue a career. There aren’t even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she’s 17 and wants to try it, of course, what can I say?”
But it’s not like Crawford was upset that 10-year-old Kaia got a job before she did at 16. She explains, “I’m so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign. I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni Versace and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace.”
Well mother knows best! Plus, Cindy knows the in’s and out’s of the business and if she thinks her daughter shouldn’t be modeling at 10, then she probably shouldn’t.
