Courteney Cox talks rehab?
As we know, David Arquette checked himself into rehab to address those pesky alcohol and depression issues plauging him of late. Obviously, this decision falls in the “good” category and is a definite step in the right direction, especially given reports of his behavior over the holiday weekend.
So what does Courteney Cox think of David’s latest move to check into rehab?
The actress tells PEOPLE, “I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life. I love and support him.”
Cue the “aww”….
It’s no secret that David hasn’t dealt well with his split from Courteney, and his meltdown has seemed inevitable as the details of their split have unfolded. Last month, David said he’d been “drinking a lot” due to his heartbreak, and called it all “personal” and “traumatic.”
Traumatic indeed if the actor’s downward spiral since his first post-split Howard Stern appearance in October.
Whatever prompted the reality check, we’re glad he’s addressing things before they get totally out of hand. Smart boy, David. And kudos to Courteney for standing by her man. If nothing else these two really do care about each other. Here’s hoping 2011 is a better year for Mr. Arquette.
