DMX just can’t escape the law, but this time he’s bringing on the lawsuits himself. DMX, aka Earl Simmons, just may sue cops for harassing him after he was arrested for speeding earlier this week, so say numerous reports.
On the 24th, Earl was pulled over for speeding in the friendly state of Arizona. And cops are said to have clocked the washed up rapper at 100 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone. But he claims was was only driving 90 mph.
Simmons tells TMZ.com, “I was going 85 miles-per-hour… I know for a fact I didn’t go more than 90… I’m used to driving fast, I’m a New Yorker… but I constantly look at the speedometer when I’m driving… I need to make sure I don’t drive too fast. I plan on suing… and I plan on suing for harassment… I’m in discussions with multiple lawyers who are not afraid to go against the system in helping me clear my name because I have been harassed.”
Earl. You were driving OVER the limit. Good luck with the lawsuit.
