Drake may be a creepy creeper Aaliyah fan, but the confirmation that he has the blessings to go ahead with a posthumous Aaliyah album may make his obsession with the late R&B singer less creepy. Or not?
At any rate, Aaliyah’s former management, her family AND her label have granted Drake the go ahead to work on an album along with his producer Noah ’40′ Shebib.
Now that the blessings have been given, Drake is hoping that he will be able to get Missy Elliott and Timbaland to team up for a collaborative effort.
In a recent interview Drake was quoted as saying, “People should be excited [about the new single]. It’s all off of an Aaliyah project that me and 40 are commanding and 40 is just doing some incredible incredible music right now. To get 13-14 new Aaliyah songs …. everybody should be excited. It’s not about me, and it’s not about 40, it’s really about her and her fans…and us just getting an opportunity to give you something that we feel is great. And you know, the people around her, everybody from her family to her.”
This is either going to be hella cool and peeps are going to be putting Drake on a humble mumble pedestal or this is going to be a big fat flop that the world will never forget about. It will be interesting to see what goes down.
I adored Aaliyah so he better not eff this up!
