The Return of Dru Hill

It seems like all of the groups from yesteryear are getting back together in the name of checks, checks, and more checks.

SWV has reunited, as has TLC, and so too has R&B supergroup of the late 90s and early 2000s Dru Hill. The group was known for their tight vocals, fashion forward outfits, and for the styling (and antics) of their lead singer, Sisqo. Although he released a few hits of his own as a solo singer (of note, one of the summer jams of years past, ‘Thong Song’), Dru Hill has always been remembered as one of the best groups in rhythm and blues.

So it should come as no surprise that they have returned to the stage. Joining them were R&B singer Kelly Price (formerly Mariah Carey’s backup singer) and Shirley Murdock. The Forever R&B Concert Series in Miami brought out R&B enthusiasts, who probably cannot find real music like this on airwaves these days. And if you think this is the end of the resurgence of R&B acts from days past, think again. Multi-platinum R&B group En Vogue has also reunited. Information on their upcoming events will be featured here on Celebrity VIP Lounge as well.
