Girlfriend is looking mighty thin. Come on girl, the wedding is over. It’s time to get fat…er, I mean comfortable.

It was a big day for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (I’m still not used to calling them that) as they attended their very first evening event together (on Thursday night) as a royal couple. The ARK (Absolute Return for the Kids) 10th Anniversary gala was held at Perk’s Field in London and William and Kate sashayed into the event looking classy and happy.

Big Willy rocked a black suit, but all eyes were on Kate as she rocked a rose sequin gown by designer Jenny Packham. More on the event and a ton of photos below for you to peep!

ARK founder Arpad Busson was thrilled to have the Duke and Duchess at the event. He said, “We need to get young philanthropists involved with us. They could not have been a better choice.”

During the event dinner, the newlyweds sat at 25 seat table alongside Princess Marie-Chantal, Countess von Bismarck, Tom Ford and Jemima Khan Prince Pavlos of Greece sat.

During a speech (for which he received a standing ovation), William said, “Harry and I find ourselves in a position to be able to help. I really believe that individuals can make a serious difference – whether it’s through wealth, through position, or some other advantage. Catherine and I hope to use our philanthropy as a long-term catalyst for meaningful change.”
