First of all, don’t ask me what the eff black face is. And don’t ask me what white face is either because hell if I know. Because Kanye West has been laying low and Jon Gosselin, Papa Lohan and LiLo aren’t raising hell, it is time to pick on Estelle. Peeps have their panties in a bunch after the singer is being accused of “black face”.
Home girl put on some black face paint for her Freak single promotion and bam, she gets called out as a racist? Is that even possible to be racist against your own people? I didn’t think that was possible. Just because I call Papa Lohan a cracker or Kirsten Dunst Casperific doesn’t mean I am racist. Or does it? For her latest music video “Freak”, Estelle sported some black face paint of which she smeared on her face and her body. Internet peeps are pissed!
She tells MTV, “Those comments were the first thing I saw after we released the video trailer. It’s like, ‘Are you joking?’ I think they need to wait to see the (whole) clip. I could defend myself, but it’s just silly. I’m black, so how do I do blackface? Missy (Elliot) did the same thing (with the video) She’s a Bitch. I refuse to defend it, I didn’t put any white ring around my mouth – never that.”
Ummm, okay.
