Jason Castro was the third runner up on Season 7 of American Idol. Now while even winners of the hit reality show have fallen off the map, Castro’s career as a musician seems promising. With his bright baby blues and his signature dreads, there is no doubt that Castro could woo a woman in. But what brought him to the final three of Idol wasn’t his looks. His voice is a breath of fresh air.
Castro’s self-titled album Jason Castro, out in stores today, includes music with a purpose…music with spirit and music with energy.
I know a good album in that I don’t feel like pushing through to the next track and with this one, I suddenly felt as if Spring had arrived with the upbeat drums, humble strums of guitar and light rhythms to have you tapping your toes upon listen. There is no doubt that Jason stays true to laid-back self in his album debut.
