Exclusive Interview: Sarah Mitchell
E! network’s new Ryan Seacrest produced reality series, ‘The Dance Scene‘, follows the lives of famed choreographer Laurieann Gibson and her team of aspiring dancers and choreographers. One such choreographer is the fabulously talented, supremely motivated Sarah Mitchell.
I recently had the chance to chat with Sarah about the show, the realities of reality TV and what it’s like working with Laurieann (who is certainly a force to be reckoned with), as well as her plans for the future. Check out the full interview below!
The dance world may be competitive, but Sarah has known from a very young age that she wanted to be a dancer, and she’s had the determination to make that happen. Self described as “hard working”, Sarah is driven, and it’s that drive to succeed that she has carried with her from her beginnings as a cheerleader for the Patriots and the Knicks, to the silver screen in movies like Burlesque and Music and Lyrics, and now to The Dance Scene on E!.
Speaking with Sarah was a pleasure- she’s every bit as down to earth and personable as she appears to be on The Dance Scene, if not more so. Give it a listen, and be sure to watch The Dance Scene on E!, airing Sunday nights at 10:30pm EST.
