She belted out “Christmas, Why Can’t I Find You?” as little Cindy Lou Who on How The Grinch Stole Christmas and moved on to become one of the most recognizable faces among the teen crowd with her portrayal as Jenny Humphrey in the hit show Gossip Girl. While many of us may be quick to judge this now thick-eye-makeup-wearing and quite frequently pantsless teen as a wannabe rockstar, forget about her resume for one hot minute, shut your flap trap and listen to the music. Then feel free to judge her.
Her voice is sultry, highly seductive and even a tad raspy on their new single Make Me Wanna Die, but surprisingly her musical talent is real, like a breath of fresh air and a freshly changed Depends pad. To be honest, Taylor Momsen is one of the few actresses that can and probably will make the crossover to music successfully because of her no-nonsense attitude and her passion for her craft. And I’m not just saying that because she might cut me if I piss her off.
Heck, she and Benny even invited me to be a roadie on one of their tour dates and Imma hold them to it. I may not be able to lift shiznit but I sure as heck know how to jam and I can make a mean peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I had the fabulous opportunity to speak with Taylor and ask her what she thought about all those people stereotyping her and of course about the music…after the jizzump.
