And thank gawd for that.
Today Gwyneth Paltrow makes an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show to chat about he possibility of her recording an album. And from what it sounds like, a record deal is close to being signed. But will she go the bubblegum pop route? Will she rock the jazz circuit? Or will she
Ellen: The rumor is you have a record deal. Are you going to do an album?
Gwyneth: Well, I haven’t signed anything but I’m thinking about it. I kind of have to get my head around the concept of it and how I would want to do it. Do it in a right way. It’s hard to think of switching because all the signing I’ve been doing has been coming out of “Country Strong” or “Glee.” So I think, how would I do that? Just a record by myself feels a little scary to me. I would like to in theory but we’ll see.
Ellen: Since you’re doing different kinds of music on “Glee” than you did “Country Strong.” First you did the Country Music Awards, which you were amazing on then you did the Grammy’s. What kind of record would you put out?
Gwyneth: I like all kinds of music. I don’t think it would be a real poppy record.
Ellen: Not like a Britney Spears thing?
Gwyneth: Not totally. She’s cornered that market.
