Last night was an emotional night for Heath Ledger’s family and friends.
According to a source, Ledger’s family – his father Kim, sister Kate and mother Sally Bell and stepmother Ines – all attended the New York opening of The Dark Knight…along with Heath’s long-time ex-girlfriend actress Naomi Watts.
The Dark Knight, in which Heath plays the Joker, is Heath’s final movie he was able to film in its entirety.
Rumors of a posthumous Oscar nomination are flying around Hollywood as Heath’s Joker portrayal is phenomenal.
The Dark Knight opens in theaters THIS Friday. (Michelle Williams, Heath’s baby mama, did not attend the premiere.)
RIP Heath.
