Imagine Dragons recently premiered the video for their single, “It’s Time” on MTV and was even chosen by the network last week as its PUSH artist of the week. The single is the first track off the band’s latest EP, Continued Silence, which hit No. 6 on Soundscan’s Alternative New Artist Albums chart (on iTunes). And it’s good – especially if, like me, you have a soft spot for a kick ass mandolin. Seriously. Take a listen below!
Imagine Dragons’ lead singer Dan Reynolds says of the video, which was shot on a dry lake bed in Barstow, CA, “Any time I hear music, I also see visuals in my mind. ‘It’s Time’ is an emotional song that was written at a very transitional period of my life. I’ve always loved conceptual videos that leave room for the viewer room to interpret it in a way that is most personal to them. That is what we tried to do with this video. The director had a great vision for representing the song’s meaning in a subtle way. We wanted the video to be cinematic and true to the song.”
The band is currently out on the road with The Jezabels throughout April and May, with a number of sold-out shows throughout the country. Don’t miss Imagine Dragons on the road when they come to a city near you!
