While jail is seemingly the place where Jack Tweed has been residing as of late, things aren’t looking very good for Jade Goody’s widow. Sure, he’s been dealing with his grief of losing his wife, but he just can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble and from behind bars.
Tweed is sitting in and looking out once again. Just after being released from jail in May for assaulting a cab driver, Jack is back behind bars but this time for an alleged rape. Just recently Jack’s mama Mary gave an interview after visiting her son in prison. And apparently, Jack revealed that he wanted to kill himself. EEEEEKKK!!!!
Mary told the News of the World, “The absolutely worst thing a mother can hear is her son say he wants to end his life. The first time I saw Jack in Pentonville was the worst. Jack was a shambles. He hadn’t washed in days, he looked grubby and grimy and there was dirt round his neck. But it was his mental state that was even more shocking to me. As soon as he saw me he broke down in tears and told me straight out that he wanted to kill himself. He asked me to take flowers to Jade’s grave and just kept repeating that he didn’t want to carry on living. There was a lot of crying and a lot of silences during that two hours. We just didn’t know what to say. What can you say? We were all devastated. We all broke down together. We were all in floods of tears.”
And apparently now, Mary has guards watching her son like a hawk to be sure he doesn’t do anything to hurt himself.
She adds, “Jack is definitely grieving. The thing is, like any boy his age, he liked a drink and went to clubs. But he wasn’t drinking every day. I believe a lot of it has been exaggerated. But I did speak to him about it. On my last visit on Friday I gave Jack a picture of him and Jade together so at least he has that in his cell. But he was still distracted and withdrawn most of the time. He just sits there fiddling with his hands. He’s a real mess. His eyes are sunken and I’m as worried as ever about him.”
On November 16th, Jack will be back in court to make his plea.
