Unfortunately, I think the time is coming and it completely breaks my heart. Jade Goody is said to have gathered her friends and family together to say her final goodbyes in case over the course of 24 hours she doesn’t make it. Apparently the next 24 hours are crucial in determining how much time she really does have left and Jade seems to be losing strength.
Jade’s publicist Max Clifford announced yesterday his concern for Jade continuing the public fight, “My attitude to Jade in recent times is: “Don’t you think enough is enough? Don’t you think you’ve got the message out there? The money that you wanted for the boys we’ve done, we’ve made, it’s in place, the money is assured. We’re hoping that the operation she had on Monday evening will make things a lot more bearable, a lot brighter for her in the weeks ahead. Jade likes and enjoys the media spotlight. You have to marry all of these things.”
Max continued, “But if she continues to be in the kind of pain and condition she is in then my advice increasingly will be: ‘Don’t you think enough is enough?”‘
Max has been continuing to remind Jade, “The minute you don’t want them taking pictures, I’ll ask them not to take pictures so do let me know. I spoke to her yesterday and said: ‘Look, when you’re leaving the Chelsea and Westminster (hospital) there are photographers out there, do you want me to tell them not to take any photos? And she said: “No Max, I’m happy to do a photo as long its going to take a couple of seconds. I don’t want to stop them”.”
“The reality is there is a balance because there’s huge public interest and an appetite and support for Jade, which is reflected by the fact that it’s front page news virtually every day. So much of it has got to be guided by her because it’s her life and it’s for her to decide. But of course if she’s not well enough to make that decision then I will make that decision for her automatically.”
Jade has been so incredibly strong through all of this. My best wishes go out to her and her family.
