After hearing of the horrifying news that Jade Goody‘s cancer had spread, Miss Jade underwent a five hour emergency surgery to remove a tumor that was blocking her bowel. In a successful effort, Jade is now resting easy and is able to move out of the intensive care unit. However, the doctors have insisted that she will need to remain in the hospital to recover.
Jade’s spokesperson commented on her status, “She’s in good spirits.”
Earlier this week, Jade spoke about the surgery and what she has been enduring, “The hard truth is I’d be dead if they hadn’t cleared the blockage in my bowel. The tumor made me constipated and caused my body to start bloating. My biggest fear was that I would have to have a colostomy bag. I’ve dealt with losing my hair – but a poo bag, that really would have been the final indignity for a woman. But, like everything else, I’d have coped because I have to. Where there’s life there’s hope. That is what I am clinging on to.”
You have to give Jade props for remaining positive. However, just recently after discovering the cancer has spread, the doctors have had to lower Jade’s percentage of survival below 40%.
