It is unknown when any of us will leave this Earth…morbid, I know, but for Jade Goody it could be a lot sooner than expected. The million dollar dream wedding that Jade and her new husband Jack Tweed shared took a lot of energy out of the terminally ill cancer fighter.
And now, Jack, who is on home probation after his release from jail, is trying his damnedest to get his curfew lifted to spend that precious time with his wife until she dies. Jack said he was feeling hopeful as he arrived to ask for a suspended tag at the probation offices in Harlow, Essex. “Hopefully they will relax the tag to let me be with Jade. She’s my wife and she needs me by her side.”
And not being able to spend this extra time with her husband is causing added stress to Jade’s life. A friend said, “She becomes tearful when it starts getting close to the time when Jack has to leave. He said he will break the curfew if she starts slipping away — but she doesn’t want him to end up back in prison. It is a constant stress which she doesn’t need. They have had such a short time together as man and wife. It would be heartbreaking if they were denied this final time together.”
Jade’s spokesperson said, “They have put a few feelers out but they are not really expecting anything. They are exploring possibilities. Both Jade and Jack were chuffed they got to spend their wedding night together. We are not taking liberties. We don’t want to push it and we understand the deal — but it would be wonderful if something could be done. Jade would obviously love to have her husband by her side at the moment.”
So what do you think? Should the authorities take into consideration Jack’s curfew lift so that he can spend time with his dying wife?
