Jade Goody has lived most of her adult life through the lens of a camera and now we, the public, get to see the intimate pictures that captured one of the best days of Jade’s life. Her wedding. In a ceremony that included close friends and family, Jade was beaming as she walked down the aisle to meet her husband and her boys. Now I was happy to hear the news to know that Jade got her dream wedding, but to see these photos are just heartwarming. Excuse me as I grab a tissue. Ok.
And while finding the perfect dress and the perfect hairstyle to go with the gown is many brides’ worries, Jade had none.
“I’m not embarrassed of my head so no, I’m not wearing a wig.”
Jade is not sure when her final day will be (as we all don’t), however, she wants us to know that she’s fulfilled her dreams.
“No one should worry about me, though. I’m in terrible pain, but I am determined to make sure that the time I have left is fun with my mates and family.”
Jade also added that she wanted to be remembered for being a “mouthy bird… The one who irritated and entertained people in equal measure.”
“But I also want to be remembered as the girl who put up a fight and would never let herself get beaten down. I was given a death sentence, but I didn’t let it kill me. I fought it, got married, got christened. I’m happy. I’ve achieved more in 27 years than some achieve in their lifetime. I could bitch about dying young, but at the end of the day, I can look back on my life and be proud of what I have done.”
Awwwww. I heart Jade.
Below are the official vows Jade and Jack Tweed said to each other:
JADE’S VOW:
“You are so handsome to me. You are my life, my light, my hope and my joy. I will treasure you, I will cherish you, I will be utterly devoted to you. Through the laughter and the tears, through the darkness and the light, I will be your eternal love, your constant companion, your closest friend. Pledging to you, my deepest commitment. And this is my solemn vow.”
JACK’S VOW:
“No-one has touched my life like you. No-one can compare with you. No-one else has made my heart leap and my soul dance, nor set my mind alight with joy. In your presence I have found my rest, my home and my self. In your arms, I have known such peace. Today I give myself to you. I am yours, and ever shall it be.”
