James McAvoy Is In A ‘Trance’

James McAvoy is ready to start work on Danny Boyle‘s latest film, Trance.

Trance is “loosely based” on the made-for-TV film from Joe Ahearne. The story follows an auction house employee who works with a gang of thieves to steal a valuable work of art. Problems arise when the accomplice takes a blow to the head and a case of amnesia causes him to forget where the painting is hidden.

While no cast is yet confirmed, McAvoy’s X-Men: First Class co-star, Michael Fassbender, was previously said to have been in talks to play the leader of the art thieves.

The film is scheduled to shoot in London in September, but, due to Boyle’s involvement with the 2012 Olympics, it will have nearly a full year break before resuming production, aiming for a March 2013 release.
