Joe Jackson Making Profit Off King of Pop perfume: Tacky or Tender?

Joe Jackson may be getting some heat from the media on his decision to launch a new King of Pop tribute line of perfumes and profit from his venture, but La Toya is saying that it’s okay. And she thinks that peeps need to back off and mind their own got damn business.

On The Wendy Williams Show, Toya said, “We wouldn’t have a Michael if there wasn’t for Joseph Jackson. He gave Michael to us… He is wonderful, so when you say, ‘He’s Joe Jackson, he’s Michael Jackson’s father, how could he do this (profit off his son’s name)?’ That’s his father, that’s his son.”

She even defended her Pops when it came to the forefront that he was attempting to sell the perfumes in a mall. She added, “He did have a big opening (for the fragrances) and I guess the next day he decided to go out and sit there (at the mall kiosk). After all, come on, he’s 84 years old. Michael wouldn’t have minded at all… He really wouldn’t. He would say, ‘Go for it.’”

Unfortunately for Papa Joe Jackson, he just may get his butt sued over the products from executives at Bravado (a firm that says they have the commercial rights to sell products under MJ’s name).

Check out a pic of Joe at the mall rolling in his ching.
