Despite John Mayer trying to be supportive, somehow he always manages to come off looking like a douche. However this time Johnny’s latest doucheness involves Miley Cyrus and well…you guessed it…Twitter.
When drama ensues on Twitter amongst a celebrity or someone of valid importance, John Mayer has something to say. Mayer has almost put himself in the position of celebrity PR rep whether we like it or not. Read on to see what I mean.
Now even though Cyrus was an active Tweeter like John, perhaps John feels as if he can snag up some of those Cyrus Twitter followers for his advantage. Eh, maybe.
At any rate, douche loves to tweet and share his thoughts via Twitter. But does he really need to be talking about other people’s Twitter involvement or lack thereof?
In a recent dish with MTV News’ Tim Kash, Johnny talked about Miley’s departure from Twitter. He says,
“I think she’s smart enough to realize there is some interference of the brain that she doesn’t want to deal with. Artists have enough to deal with. She’s a child, she’s a fantastic artist — I think there’s enough mental real estate being taken up by dealing with all of that stuff. … For whatever reason, I am old enough and smart enough to tell someone to go f— themselves if they tell me to go f— myself. I think if you’re in Miley’s situation, it might take a little too much time to play goalie for your own heart and mind. So I totally get it.”
But listen to this jibberish!
“So nobody hates Miley Cyrus; they’re just picking up on her brand, repurposing it, to try to make a little bit of Miley cash. It’s damaging people’s minds. Imagine Shannon Doherty with a Twitter account, back in the ‘90210′ days. That would’ve just flat-out killed her.”
Ok, so Miley may have quit Twitter, but would he quit Tweeting? Pfffft. John says,
“I would rather tell the world to eat my a–hole before I would delete my Twitter account.”
