Celeb Do Gooder, JoJo Makes it Wright
My grandmother used to tell me that if you don’t stand for anything, you’ll fall for everything. This is one time it’s a great idea to fall. KIIS-FM radio host JoJo Wright is partnering up with the LiveSTRONG Foundation for The first-ever 2010 Global Leap, a skydiving fundraising event where nearly 100 skydivers will fall out of planes during the weekend of August 21st to August 22.
The leap will conclude “Make it Wright with JoJo,” a summer long initiative in which JoJo has lent a hand to a different cause every weekday. JoJo has filled his calendar by calling on his Facebook and Twitter fans around the world to tell him what great causes need his attention. He also appeared at last night’s DoSomething.org awards that honored stars like Kathy Griffin, Kellan Lutz and Snoop Dogg who won the Do Something for Kids category (yes, Snoop is a do-gooder too!).
“I was thinking about getting involved with one charity this summer,” Wright explained, “and then I thought, ‘Why pick just one?’ There are a crazy number of organizations out there doing great things, and I want to help. I’m just one guy, but I’m looking forward to making whatever difference I can, and inspiring others to do the same.”
JoJo wants you to get involved too. Supporters can tweet their ideas to @JoJoWright on Twitter using the hash tag #MakeitWright, or can make a comment on his Facebook page.
