And, well the Gosselins kicked television’s butt last night! In an hour-long premiere episode, Jon and Kate Plus 8 received RECORD ratings for the TLC network.
9.8 million of YOU watched the Season FIVE premiere! Holy crapola. Considering LOST received 9.2 million viewers on its finale, Jon and Kate’s messed up marriage had you all intrigued.
Early estimates also reveal that the premiere, which lured unprecedented numbers of women aged 18-34 and women 18-49, was TLC’s (and Jon & Kate’s) most-watched episode ever. EVER! Take that you flap-trapping big mouth relatives!
The Gosselins released the following statement TODAY, “As many couples do, we are navigating a very difficult time. Our current situation brings us together around the children and some times sets us apart. We keep our faith that we will make the right decisions for our family.”
Despite the uncomfortable couch interviews AND the awkward presence of Jon at the kiddies’ fifth birthday party, Jon and Kate assure us that they are doing all they can for their children. But, will the show go on?
