For a father-daughter pair that have had probably one of the most rocky relationships in Hollywood, it appears that Jon Voight and Angelina Jolie may have reconciled. Say, what? Yeppers. Read more after the jump.
I can now live a much happier life knowing that Jon Voight and his daughter Angelina Jolie are on good terms again. These two have been at odds like cats and dogs for years so what a pleasant little piece of news. But hold on one hot minute. Don’t expect to see these two walking hand in hand sporting matching jogging suits in the streets of France anytime soon.
Jon tells Us Weekly, “We’re in touch, but not regularly. We love each other and that’s the most important thing.”
So why is this such a big ordeal? Well, fishy-lipped Jolie stopped speaking to her daddy-o back in 2001! Yeah, that’s awhile to hold a grudge, I’d say. So why and how did they part in the first place? Her reasoning? Jon took his concern for Jolie to Access Hollywood asking her daughter to get some help with her mental problems.
The Brad Pitt snatching ordeal and 20203949 kids later, Angelina has reached out to Jon.
A source says, “Brad has been supportive – a key factor in her reaching out.”
I feel like I should go plump my lips full of collagen in celebration of this reunion. Yay for a Jon Voight and Angelina Jolie reconciliation!
