Fresh on the heels of Melissa Etheridge parting ways with her lover, pop singer k.d. lang, who is forever linked to her hit song ‘Constant Craving’, has ended her relationship formally with her partner Jamie Price. So watch out sapphic sisters…for the k.d. is newly single and ready to pop her fishsticks!
According to reports, her domestic partnership was been officially dissolved as of last week. The two had been together since 2003 and registered for a domestic partnership in 2009. There was an agreement drawn up between the two, which waives the rights of spousal support for either one. In other words, Jamie is not getting no support checks and will have to go get a J-O-B like all us regular ditched tricks in the game. So k.d. gets to keep all her earnings (which are significant) and Jamie gets to keep all hers (which is a goldfish bowl).
I just hate it when lesbians split up. Because usually, there is a fight for the two cats, the bathroom furniture, and the only lesbian club in the city. This parting took the high road, for once!
