Ummm, Hollywood movie producers are really starting to irritate me just a tad. Are remakes of classics really that freakin’ necessary these days? Aren’t there anymore creative minds out there to generate something different? Seriously, NOT Karate Kid. Why they felt the need to touch Karate Kid is beyond me. All I’ve gotta say is this movie better be better than this Karate Kid trailer. Yikes.
I’m not so sure what is worse, the actual remake itself or the fact that Jaden Smith (Will Smith’s son) will be taking on the role of the karate kid.
At any rate, the movie is set for release this summer on June 11, 2010. Jackie Chan fans, you are in luck as well as he takes on the role of Mr. Miyagi.
While I will give this movie a chance just because Chan is it the movie, it will take some hardcore convincing that the Karate Kid remake will even come a tad close to doing the original justice. What I want to know is whose bright idea this was anyhow? They surely deserve an atomic wedgie.
