While it’s obvious Kate had a big fat crush on her BFF Leonardo DiCaprio after the filming of Titanic, I can’t imagine working with the guy for yet another movie. And while they did hook up again for the flick Revolutionary Road, the most uncomfortable part for Kate was doing the freak nasty with Leo in front of her then husband.
About doing the freak nasty on the big screen with Kate while her husband directed, Leo told a source, “It was certainly a difficult time. She was really worried that Sam wasn’t bothered by the fact that his wife was making out with another guy right in front of her. I told her it was only acting, but she kept on saying, ‘This is really weird’. When Sam started telling her exactly how to have sex with me she didn’t like it at all. She was freaking out because she was supposed to be having sex with her best friend – me – while her husband directed. But I didn’t find it weird at all. It didn’t bother me, because that’s part of acting.”
It was shortly after that flick that Winslet and her hubby eventually went through with a divorce. In other words, that chemistry between Kate and her “BFF” Leo haunted her dreams and probably the mind of Sam Mendes too.
So if this was all so damn uncomfortable, was there more to this relationship that went on behind the scenes? Duh.
C’mon you know these two hooked up outside of work. How else do you think they’d be so good at getting frisky on screen? It’s called research and practice-makes-perfect and role playing, yo.
