Katherine Heigl may have been in the spotlight lately for being a greedy money hungry beotch, but despite all that Grey’s Anatomy nonsense, there is a good heart inside the girl with the permanent angry face. In fact, she and her hubby are looking to adopt a little girl from the country of Korea. Forget the old fashioned bumping uglies…it’s all about taking in someone who needs a home.
Apparently Katherine and her hubby Josh Kelley have been working on an adoption of baby Naleigh for at least six months. Heigl confirmed the news on The Ellen DeGeneres Show saying, “It is a little girl and she’ll be 10 months at the end this month. She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign. I realized just recently that I basically forfeited my birthday for the rest of my life.”
Um sorry girlfriend, but you’ll be giving up more than just your birthday every year. Mmmhmmm.
So, what’s up with the name Naleigh? Apparently there is some significance.
Heigl continues, “Her name is Naleigh. Well, I am naming her after my mother and sister Nancy, Leigh. So we call her Naleigh.”
About having her own biological children, Heigl says, “I’m done with the whole idea of having my own children. It doesn’t seem like any fun. I don’t think it’s necessary to go through all of that.”
