Katy Perry, no alcohol for career’s sake
Katy Perry may be eccentric in her own right, but rather than inducing her eccentricity with alcohol, soon-to-be Mrs. Brand has cut booze out of her life and it’s not because she’s an alcoholic. See what she says about booze below.
Katy claims that cutting alcohol out of her life is necessary for her to completely focus on her career that she’s already worked so hard for.
Perry told The Guardian, “You have to bust your ass at this, which is why you don’t find me getting s**tfaced in bars that much. It’s so intense, it’s like you catch a rocket and you’re hanging on for dear life and you’re like, ‘Gooooooo!’ The second record I’m more buckled in because, God, how many times do you see people slump on their sophomore record? Nine out of ten. I’m still working, like, 13-hour days, five, six days a week and singing on top of it. And knowing that there’s someone right behind me, ready to go, ready to push me down the stairs, just like in Showgirls.”
Geez, am I hearing this right? A celebrity with (maybe-what-I-would-call) morals who pays attention to the tragic mistakes of others?
