Previously regarded as one of the premiere backup singers in the music business, Kelly Price solidified her status as a star in her own right with the release of her first solo album in 1998. That album topped the R&B charts on the strength of its debut single, which soared to #1 with no video, which is still a record standing today. Since her debut album, she has continued to be recognized as a major player within the R&B genre, writing for and collaborating with celebrated performers like George Michael, Jay-Z, R.Kelly, The Isley Brothers, and The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
Not only recognized as a singer, she has also been featured as an actress in several productions from theater to the big screen. The multi-talented artist is slated to release a new record of all new tunes sometime early next year, so fans can expect alot from the diva in the coming months.
