Kelsey Grammer, no prenup
Apparently if you’re Kelsey Grammer you don’t want your soon to be ex-wife Camille to have your monies but you can’t be bothered to get one of those nifty little things called a prenup. Because practical does not equal romantical.
TMZ reported earlier that Kelsey was asking that some of his money be declared as separate property since he was married in 1997, four years AFTER the hit series “Frasier” began.
For reference, “Frasier” ran 11 years on NBC and made Kelsey the highest paid actor on TV at the time. And by highest paid, we’re talking $1.6 million an episode towards the end. Per.Episode.
Okay, here’s the deal- It’s not like this was the first time Kelsey Grammer was married. Oh no, he’s been married twice before. TWICE. That makes a total of THREE. Either he seriously undervalues his net worth or he’s insane. I’m not sure what’s worse, but if Mel Gibson serves as any frame of reference, I’m hoping it’s the former. I don’t think I could handle another completely off the crazy train insane celeb. Just sayin’.
So, note to “Frasier”: It’s okay to get a prenup before you get married again. Because let’s face it, you probably will. And when you do, you should get a prenup. It’s practical. Seriously. It’s okay. It may not seem romantic, but you can thank yourself (and me) when, once again, you find yourself in divorce court.
